The Ueshiro Carleton Karate Dojo, together with the Ueshiro Northfield Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo, will again host its semi-regular Minnesota in May gathering for 2026. An official event under Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA, we are expecting as many as 16 guests from around the system, including 9th-Dan Kyoshi Michael Mackay and 9th-Dan Kyoshi Kevin Reymond.
With all-ranks training sessions Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning, there are many opportunities to learn from the visiting Kyoshi and Sensei, who will collectively bring over a century of Karate experience to the deck. And with a Dan-level test (black-belts and candidates only) on Saturday afternoon, there will be ample opportunities to celebrate the art of Shorin-Ryu Karate.
If you are coming to train, please arrive early to each session, so we can begin promptly. Guests are also welcome to come and observe — please be respectful of the space and those who are training.
- Friday: 7pm-9pm
- Saturday: 9am-noon
- Sunday: 9am-12:30pm
