The IEC Division in collaboration with Dr. Jorge Brioso and the Spanish Department invites you to a public lecture:
“La gestión inteligente de los conflictos: el tránsito de las pasiones a los intereses”. ( “The intelligent management of conflicts: the transition from passions to interests”.
The lecture will be conducted in Spanish with a transcript available in English. An English/Spanish interpreter will be available for the Q & A.
BIO:
Teresa Arsuaga holds a PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, where she wrote her doctoral thesis on the North American Law and Literature Studies movement. She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and a certified mediator. She specialized in Family Law through an Advanced Course at the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid and earned a Master’s Degree in Mediation, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
She served as chief mediator in the Intra-Judicial Mediation Program at this university, where she also worked as an internship instructor, project manager, and tribunal member for the Master's Degree in Mediation, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution. After years of experience in the field, she founded AEC, an office specializing in out-of-court conflict resolution, where she currently works as a mediator and conducts training workshops.
In addition to her legal career, she is dedicated to literature and research. She published Humanist Lawyer (Civitas, 2018), which earned her the Degà Roda y Ventura Award from the Barcelona Bar Association in 2019. Her latest book, Te veo, te escucho, te reconozco (I See You, I Hear You, I Recognize You), a guide to intelligent conflict resolution, will be published by Arpa in 2025.
