Rethinking Literacy Education in the Age Of Mass Incarceration: Literacy Educators and The Dismantling Of The School-To-Prison Pipeline
This session examined preventative, responsive, and restorative literacy learning strategies for dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline. Panelists offered critical ideas for teaching literacy in ways that promise to transform the lived experiences of a diverse range of learners prior to, during, and post detention.
