This fall term the Economics Department welcomes 3 new faculty: Assistant Professor Jonathan Lafky and Visiting Instructors Shane Auerbach and Theresa Bauer.
Jonathan received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and taught in the Economics Department at Lafayette before coming to Carleton. He teaches Experimental and Behavioral Economics, Game Theory, and Principles of Microeconomics. He enjoys salt licorice, running and baking bread.
Shane is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and will teaches Principles of Microeconomics, Industrial Organization and Firm Behavior, and Economics of Higher Education. His research relates to microeconomic theory and industrial organization. In his free time, he tries to teach his one-year-old, Nelson, to program with Python. When that fails, they watch the Packers or go hiking.
