4 September 2024

Ethan Struby, assistant professor of economics, and Christina Farhart, associate professor of political science, co-authored a paper titled, “Inflation Expectations and Political Polarization: Evidence From the Cooperative Election Study” that was voted best paper (out of 27 presented) at the 2024 Liberal Arts Macroeconomics Conference. It was also presented earlier in the summer at the Western Economics Association meetings. They were also both quoted in a related Newsweek article on the partisan divide in voters’ perceptions about the US economy.
