The Department of Economics is proud to announce that it has received the American Economic Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion for the year 2022. In its citation, the Award Committee recognizes “how the department has thoughtfully updated virtually all aspects of its program to construct a better environment and education for all students, especially women, traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities, first generation, and LGBTQ+ students.” We are honored to have received national recognition for our concerted efforts to create an open, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment for all students.
