12 January 2015Economics Professors Jenny Bourne and Nathan Grawe presented a paper, “How Broad Liberal Arts Training Produces PhD Economists: Carleton’s Story” on January 3, at the annual meeting of the American Economics Association in Boston. A revised version of the paper will appear in the Journal of Economic Education.

Robert Will, Professor Emeritus of Economics, received the 2014 Joseph Lee Heywood Distinguished Service Award and was honored at a dinner on September 3, 2014. Professor Will taught at Carleton College for over 35 years (1957-1993). Solidifying his name as one of the Emeritus Professors of the Economics Department, he possesses an influence that stretches far outside the classroom.
