Fabio da Silva Soares

Fabio is a Research Professional at the Stigler Center working on projects ranging from geoeconomics and concentration to finance and macroeconomics. He is currently researching how governance in the NYPD impacts the overall culture and behavior of police officers, as well as working on projects exploring American business elites going back to the 1900s. Fabio also coordinates the Financial Trust Index, a yearly survey measuring the level of American’s trust in different institutions. 

He graduated from Carleton College in 2019 with a double major in economics and mathematics. In his senior year he received the Ada M. Harrison Prize in Economics for his coursework and independent study in the field of economics. While at Carleton he worked as a Team Leader for the Recreation Center and was a Student Assistant Coach for the women’s volleyball team.  He served as the captain of the men’s club volleyball team, was a Student Department Advisor for the Economics department and was active with the CSA Senate in different positions.
