Education & Professional History

Zoe Hansen is a microbiologist interested in the ecology of microbial interactions — how microbes interact with each other, with their environment, and with their host(s). She explored multiple facets of microbiomes in her doctoral and postdoctoral work, ranging from metagenomics analysis of the human gut to characterizing competitive interactions within soil communities. She teaches Cell Biology, Microbiology, and part of Introductory Biology.
