Executive Assistant to the Provost, Office of the Provost

As Executive Assistant to the Provost, Sally helps keep the academic program running by providing administrative and project support to the Provost; overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Provost’s Office; working closely with department chairs, program directors, and support staff to facilitate the work of the academic division; administering the faculty hiring process; and serving as the HR Admin – Faculty role in Workday. Prior to her work in the Provost’s Office, Sally was the Project Manager for Carleton’s strategic planning process in 2022-23, where she helped coordinate scheduling, resource sharing, communication, and community outreach for the Carleton 2033 Strategic Direction. Sally’s Carleton career began in 2016 as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Arts and the Department of Theater + Dance, where she helped manage use of the Weitz Center facility, managed the Theater and Dance office, and supported members of the Carleton community as they learned about, created, and enjoyed performance and art of all kinds. In addition to Sally’s work in Weitz and Laird, she has been a Co-Chair and College Council Representative for the Staff at Carleton (SAC) group, was the non-exempt staff representative on the IDE Steering Committee, and is a founding member of the Staff Collective for Change.

Sally has a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and English from Illinois Wesleyan University.
