Assistant Director of Stewardship, Stewardship

Introduction and Professional History

As the stewardship specialist within the Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Division, I have the honor of collaborating with many teams and colleagues across campus to help foster and maintain donor relationships, and share the impact that donors’ gifts make in every aspect of the Carleton experience. My responsibilities include event project management for donor events such as the Heywood Luncheon, data management, entry, analysis, and verification, coordination of on-campus physical memorial projects, and project management of large-scale donor reporting.

My involvement at Carleton extends to staff governance. I have served on the Staff at Carleton (SAC) Council as Secretary and Co-Chair, and currently participate on the College Benefits Committee. I also contributed to the DAR IDE Committee and facilitated winter 2023 IDE workshops on creating an inclusive environment. I now look forward to serving on the Carleton Staff Council, where I aim to contribute to strengthening staff community, engagement, and belonging. My experience in meeting facilitation, event planning, committee leadership, and my 25-year career in higher education will inform my work on the council.

Prior to Carleton, I spent 14 years at the University of St. Thomas as a Department Systems Specialist. There, I played a key role in the student module planning and training for a major enterprise system upgrade, developing comprehensive documentation, training videos, and conducting rigorous regression testing. I was also part of a four-person team that planned and executed commencement ceremonies, including events for audiences of up to 10,000.

Beyond my professional life, I cherish traveling with my husband, attending plays and concerts, and spending quality time with family and friends. I’m also dedicated to personal growth and mentoring others through Toastmasters.
