High energy physics at particle colliders. I’m a member of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, located at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC). My general interests include searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) and the development of new detector components and technologies for use in future upgrades and experiments. My expertise in BSM searches lies in unconventional signatures such as the production of new particles that are long-lived or decay in unique ways (e.g. via R-parity violation). I’m also interested in novel data analysis techniques, including the use of machine learning, in order to optimally leverage the large volume of collision data available.
