  • National Farmworker Awareness Week 2019 – Food Chains Viewing

    Join us for a viewing of Food Chains on Thursday, April 4th, 6:00 p.m., in Sevy Meeting Room.  The narrative of the film focuses on an intrepid and highly lauded group of tomato pickers from Southern Florida – the Coalition of Immokalee Workers or CIW – who are revolutionizing farm labor.  Their story is one of hope and promise for the triumph of morality over corporate greed – to ensure a dignified life for farm workers and a more humane, transparent food chain.

    National Long Sleeve Shirt Drive, April 1-5, at Carleton.  Farmworkers face long hours of arduous work exposed to dangerous pesticides and heat stress.  Donated shirts will help them to better protect themselves against these dangers.  Please consider donating long sleeve shirts at the checker stands in the dining halls or CCCE in Sayles-Hill.

    Sayles Café winter break hours begin on Wednesday, November 21st.  Barista & grab and go.  Chef’s Fare Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    Hours of Operation:  Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Closed Saturday and Sunday.

    NOTE:  Sayles Café will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd for Thanksgiving.  Enjoy your holiday!
