We say Goodbye to Ricardo Lopez

19 April 2011

Ricardo Lopez, former Director of Operations for Bon Appétit at Carleton, has been off-campus since December 2010 on what was originally a temporary assignment. Carleton was notified last week that he will not be returning due to a new permanent assignment in Wisconsin. Auxiliary Services received the following message from Ricardo who asked that we pass it along to the rest of the campus:

It is with mixed emotions that I would like to announce  my time at Carleton College as Senior Director of Operations of Dining Services for Bon Appétit has come to an end. I am excited about the promotion and new opportunity that I have been given to become the Resident District Manager for Bon Appétit at Kohl’s World Headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

I am also saddened in having to move on from Carleton and the wonderful community that I feel fortunate to have been a part of even if only for a short time. It has been a pleasure to not only work with all of you but also to have been able to get to know many of you on a personal level. I am taking with me many successes and positive memories of the time I spent at Carleton College.  These include:  serving Northfield Seniors and residents a Thanksgiving meal side by side with Carleton students at the local Community Center,  Commencements,  Reunions,  one President’s farewell and another’s Inauguration. These were special,  grand events and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to  experience these in my professional and my personal life.

But what I will remember most is the wonderful Carleton folks that welcomed me in allowing me to participate and be a part of their great culture and community. I am grateful for the time we all spent together.
Thanks for the Memories!Wishing you continued Success
Sincerely,

Ricardo G. Lopez
