    Spring Concert 2022 will be held on Saturday, May 21st. Dinner will be held behind the Rec Center, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This meal is part of the Board Meal Plan. If you are not on a meal plan, your Schillers will be charged. LDC and Burton will be closed for dinner.

  • National Farmworker Awareness Week 2019 – Food Chains Viewing

    Join us for a viewing of Food Chains on Thursday, April 4th, 6:00 p.m., in Sevy Meeting Room.  The narrative of the film focuses on an intrepid and highly lauded group of tomato pickers from Southern Florida – the Coalition of Immokalee Workers or CIW – who are revolutionizing farm labor.  Their story is one of hope and promise for the triumph of morality over corporate greed – to ensure a dignified life for farm workers and a more humane, transparent food chain.

    National Long Sleeve Shirt Drive, April 1-5, at Carleton.  Farmworkers face long hours of arduous work exposed to dangerous pesticides and heat stress.  Donated shirts will help them to better protect themselves against these dangers.  Please consider donating long sleeve shirts at the checker stands in the dining halls or CCCE in Sayles-Hill.

    February 18 – 24:  Interested in seeing how you can participate in Climate Action Week?  Pledge to go meatless one day a week.  Think of ways you can reduce waste.  For example, pledge to reduce food waste by going trayless, shopping with a list, or only buying what you will use.  Also, look for the CAW sticker on menu signs indicating the best choice for a Low Carbon Diet.

    Come celebrate Oktoberfest with us during lunch at Burton and LDC on Tuesday, October 24th!  Entrée will be beer brats served with creamy sauerkraut and chives, shredded caramelized Brussel sprouts or tomatensalat (tomato salad) and your choice of coffee, tea or a fountain soda.
