Wednesday morning found us waking up in the Badlands. Above Callen enjoys the morning during breakfast. Soon we were hitting the outcrops again with Mary leading the charge (right).

We split up into teams again to make careful observations of the "bedrock."

And then we got together to hear what each team had found and put an interpretation together.

The colors in the layers were beautiful.
