Civil Discourse on a Diverse Campus: An Experiential Living-Learning Community

Students will live together in Myers Hall and take a year-long course exploring how things get talked about and the question of “what makes discourse good?”

Posse Program

In partnership with the national Posse Foundation since 2001, Carleton College identifies public high school students who have extraordinary academic and leadership potential and who may have been overlooked by the traditional college selection process.

Mellon-Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

The MMUF program is a long-term effort to help increase the diversity of faculty in higher education by increasing the number of students from underrepresented minority groups who pursue PhDs.

The Dean of Students Office invites Carleton students to participate in a week-long spring break trip exploring key places and events in civil rights history.

Student Financial Literacy Series

The Student Financial Literacy Series, sponsored by the Division of Student Life, provides comprehensive financial education to all Carleton students. Through a partnership with HomeTown Credit Union and departments across the College, Carleton offers 60-minute workshops on a variety of financial topics.
