Dear Members of the Carleton Community,
Over the past several days, we have seen an uptick in the number of cases of COVID-19 among students, faculty and staff. This trend of increased cases is beginning to put strain on some campus operations, including isolation space. As a result, our campus alert level is now medium.
With this change, masks are again required indoors except for students in their own residence hall room or house, and for faculty and staff in their private workspace. More protective masks (N95, KN95, KF94, or double-masking with two cloth masks or cloth and surgical masks) continue to be available and are strongly encouraged for all members of our community. This masking requirement goes into effect at 10 p.m. tonight.
Consistent with the medium alert level, no additional restrictions are in place at this time, and in-person events and dining may continue as usual. Daily case counts and more detailed information about the campus alert levels are available on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
We will continue to closely monitor trends on campus in the coming days. During this period of increased transmission, please be especially aware of your health and take a test if at any time you experience symptoms of COVID-19. Testing continues to be available daily for students, faculty and staff at the Rapid Test Site.
