Carleton’s Honors Convocation is held each year on the last Friday of the spring term, drawing the campus community together in Skinner Memorial Chapel to celebrate the awards and academic accomplishments of our students.
Shortened Class Schedule
There will be a special schedule of slightly shortened classes on Friday, May 27 to accommodate Honors Convocation at 3:00 p.m.

Honors Convocation will be preceded by our traditional Academic Procession, in which all faculty (including emeriti) are encouraged to participate. The Academic Procession will assemble at 2:45 p.m. in front of Laird Hall. Administrative staff are also welcome to participate.
Academic Procession Instructions
Honors Convocation will be preceded by the traditional Academic Procession, in which all faculty are encouraged to participate and academic dress is customarily worn. Administrative staff are welcome to join the procession. The Academic Procession will assemble at 2:45 p.m. in front of Laird Hall. Staff should join the procession at positions appropriate to their length of service.
