Convocation with Wyna Liu | A Bit About Connections

Wyna Liu is a puzzle maker and artist based in New York City. She is a puzzle editor at The New York Times, where she writes the daily game Connections. Her crosswords can be found in The New Yorker.

Liu began constructing crosswords in 2018 and had her first puzzle published in the American Values Club Crossword in January 2019. She joined The New York Times as an editor in 2020. In 2014, Liu earned a master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. In addition to her editorial roles, she makes jewelry and enjoys learning about machining and other fabrication processes.
