Convocation with Andrew Morrison ’82

Andrew Morrison ’82 is an expert on gender issues in developing countries. He is the former chief of the Gender and Diversity Division of the Inter-American Development Bank, where he spearheaded a number of initiatives to increase gender equality and promote economic opportunities for women in Latin America. Before joining the IDB, he was a Lead Economist at the World Bank and an Associate Professor of Economics at Tulane University and the University of New Mexico. His current research focuses on harnessing behavioral science and technology to promote healthy masculinities and to facilitate women’s and indigenous peoples’ access to financial services in Latin America.
