The CS department is hiring a new tenure track faculty member this year, and we’d love your involvement! In the past, candidates have cited meeting students as something that draws them to Carleton, and student input is important for us in making hiring decisions.
There are three main ways that students will be interacting with candidates:
- Candidates will give teaching demos in some classes (mainly intro)
- Candidates will give talks about their research. These will happen from 3:30-4:30pm on Thursday of Week 7 and Week 8 (October 27 and November 3), and from 3:30-4:30pm on Monday of Week 8 and Week 9 (October 31 and November 7). All talks are in Anderson 121, and we’d love to have all of you there!
- Candidates will go to lunch with students. Candidates will have lunch with about 6-10 students, and we’ll pay for your meal if you’re off board. Sign up to go lunch with one or more candidates. We’ll follow up with you to confirm.
