SDAs for the 2026-27 Academic Year!

1 June 2026

We’re delighted that Noah Zameer Lee and Daya Tucker will be the CS SDAs for 2026-2027!

SDAs (Student Departmental Advisers) are a crucial part of the department: they hold peer advising hours every term, coordinate events for the CS community, and can be a liaison between students and faculty.

Each of them have shared a bit about themselves below and why they’re excited to be an SDA; please join me in welcoming them!

Noah Zameer Lee:

Hello! I am Noah and I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I initially wanted to be a CS major because I wanted to make my own video game but have been drawn to data science and machine learning since taking classes at Carleton. I am excited to talk with anyone interested in CS here and organize events for the community. Everyone gets into CS with a different background and interests and I would love to talk to people if they have any questions about how they could approach the major.

Outside of CS, I am also a sprinter on the swim and dive team. I also organize the swim team’s IM basketball team and am a big Chicago Bulls fan and Chicago enthusiast in general. See you around!

Daya Tucker:

Hi, I’m Daya! I’m majoring in CS because I love that it constantly pushes people to think creatively, both in building new things from scratch and in coming up with ways to approach existing problems that no one else has thought of before.

I’m super excited to be an SDA because one of my favorite things about CS is how broad the field is and how many different directions you can take within it, and I want to help students discover the areas that interest them. I’m really looking forward to getting to know more students in the department and helping people feel connected and supported in the Carleton CS community next year.

Outside of CS, I’m on the swim team, and in my free time I love hosting little hangouts for my friends and making little treats for everyone.
