Thank you for your interest in Carleton GitTogether! We’re excited to announce that registration is now officially open for our inaugural weekend.
Event Details:
- When: April 10-12, 2026 (Week 2 weekend of Spring Term)
- Where: Weitz Center
- Registration Deadline: Extended to Wednesday, 2/18
What to Expect: The Carleton GitTogether Weekend is a 3 day coding event where teams of 4 students will build a functional web application from scratch. Starting Friday at 4pm with an opening ceremony and team formation, you’ll have until Sunday at 11am to develop your project. The weekend includes structured coding sessions, fun activity breaks, catered meals, and mentorship check-ins. On Sunday afternoon, all teams will present their projects through live demos to a panel of professors, alumni, and students.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: JBL Flip 7 speakers
- 2nd Place: $50 Gift cards (Vendor TBD)
- 3rd Place: Power banks (Anker – Power Bank (20,000mAh, 30W))
- Special Awards: Funniest project + more to be announced
- Everyone: GitTogether T-shirt!



Important Notes:
- Space is limited to 32 participants – you will be notified with another email later on if you are confirmed!
- Optional Zoom workshops will be hosted Weeks 8-10 of Winter Term to help you prepare
- Meals and snacks provided throughout the weekend
- No prior hackathon experience necessary, just enthusiasm and willingness to code!
