I’m looking to hire a student worker to help me manage PHAS (Physics and Astronomy) computers and perform other random tasks. This is a 10 hours/week position that starts in Fall term 2025. Depending on how things work out, the position could be yours until you graduate.
Working on long term projects is also a possibility, depending on your interests and capabilities.
My current student worker is refining a Django web application used to search and display geothermal temperature data pulled from the geothermal borehole field under the Bald Spot.
Essential qualifications are a great work ethic, communication skills, adaptability, and “Power
User” facility with Mac, Windows, or Linux operating systems. Familiarity with Python is a plus.
