Introducing New Research & Instruction Librarian for STEM and Data – Hannah Chapman Tripp

11 September 2025

Hannah Chapman Tripp is the new librarian supporting Computer Science and all things STEM and Data.

Hannah brings valuable experience from position as a biology librarian at the University of Texas at Austin, and more recently, from her work with psychology and nursing departments at Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis. She is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion, and is committed to helping students thrive in their academic journeys.

Originally from Minnesota, Hannah grew up and attended college in Moorhead. After spending more than a decade in Chicago, Upstate New York, and Texas, she’s thrilled to be back in her home state.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys making greeting cards, playing board games, spending time outdoors in all Minnesota seasons, and watching Taskmaster UK. These days, much of her free time is occupied caring for her nine-month-old baby.

Hannah’s office is in Libe 468. If her door is open, feel free to come in and say hello—she’s looking forward to supporting students in Computer Science and beyond! You can schedule a research appointment with Hannah or consult resources she maintains to get started with library research.
