  • Common Time Informal talk by Chemistry Dept/comps visitor this week, Professor Vy Dong titled “Office Hours: Stuff I Wish I Knew in College”. The seminar is in Olin 141 and pizza/salad will be provided to attendees.  All students are encouraged to attend, especially those who may identify as underrepresented in STEM, first gen, or low income. This is intended to be a general talk for all STEM-curious students.

  • Women in Data Science (WiDS) conference  is a free, virtual event for any student or professional wanting to collaborate with experts in their fields and learn how women leaders at GM and beyond leverage data science for success. You’ll also gain valuable insight into a number of career paths and organizations to help shape how you envision your future.  Some of this year’s speakers and presenters will include professionals from Amazon Web Services, Starbucks, the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the passionate data science community and we look forward to seeing you! To learn more about this free event and to save your spot, visit HERE.
  • Register for a Cyber Sports Competition at Secure360 Conference in MN. Check-in will be at 11:30am at Mystic Lake Event Center. Event runs until 5:00pm. Why Participate? Students will use their learned skills in a real-world scenario, competing in a Cyber Sports game against top student teams from all over Minnesota and surrounding areas. This event is part of the Secure360 Cyber Security event, offering valuable networking opportunities with industry leaders and sponsors. No cost involved thanks to the generous sponsorship from CloudFlare, Google, MN ISSA, WiCyS, InfraGard and Cyber Sports Limited (a 501(c)(3) non-profit).
