  • The Perlman Teaching Museum hosts: The Manifest, The Hidden which explore the entanglement of Geometry and Islam through the practices of eleven contemporary artists from the Middle East, North America, and Europe. While Geometry and Islam are often perceived as rigid systems, here they are seen anew as rich, expansive languages for expressing beauty and wonder.

Multiple Dates in Winter Term

  • Do you have an upcoming technical interview or hope to soon? Not sure how to prepare for it? Austin Dahl (’88) spent over 25 years in software development and management at a variety of start-ups and big companies, mostly in the Seattle area. He has interviewed and hired several hundred software engineers and initiated internship programs at two companies. For the past 4 years, he has been volunteering at MinT, a mentorship program for CS professionals and overlooked CS students. See multiple dates available and these are listed on the CS Events calendar, too.

Tuesdays Winter Term

  • Ed Tech Teas generally on Tuesdays Winter Term, 3:30 to 4:30:
    • February 24: Carleton’s Current State of Generative AI Tools – and How to Use Them in Your Daily Work Carleton’s key generative AI tools are Gemini, now in version 3 and Amplify, a gateway to some versions of ChatGPT and Claude.  Under our contract with Google, we also have access to NotebookLM.  This session provides updates on the latest features in these tools with time to explore how you can use this in your daily work.  Think meeting management, research planning, or remembering what notes you already have.     • March 3: Building Your Online Narrative with Carlsites Have you thought about creating an ePortfolio, blogging about an international experience, or promoting your academic research to an audience beyond the classroom? Learn how students, faculty and staff have used CarlSites to elevate their digital identity and complement traditional assignments through the lens of writing for the web. (Em Palencia).
