If you are planning on doing CS Comps in 2026-2027, you need to fill out this form. The deadline is Tuesday, April 28. You will need to be signed in through your Carleton College Google account to access the form.
Here are more details!
- Comps can be done during a single term, or over two terms, depending on the project. Comps is 6 credits of work. Two-term comps spreads out those 6 credits over two terms, whereas one-term comps contains the 6 credits in a single term.
- One-term projects will be offered in the fall by Layla Oesper and in the winter by Jean Salac.
- Two-term projects will be offered over fall and winter terms by Amy Csizmar Dalal and Sneha Narayan.
- There are no winter/spring or spring comps projects.
- Here is a description of all of the comps projects for next year.
- To help us assign people to projects, please fill out fill out this form by Tuesday, April 28.
- Once we have your survey results, we will do our best to honor at least some of each person’s preferences. (It’s a complicated and over-constrained matching problem with all sorts of tradeoffs, as you might imagine.)
- If you do not submit the form, you will be assigned to whatever project that needs students.
- We expect to announce the comps teams via email in time for registration.
Again, make sure that you fill out the comps survey by Tuesday, April 28, (tomorrow).
