Carl Connection: Implementation Intern
Application Deadline: May 27

You are welcome to reach out to Jack at jack.coyne@unifize.com with any questions about the organization or position prior to applying.

About Implementation:

Software implementation is the art of turning digital ideas into real-world solutions. It’s the critical step that connects technology with users, bringing software to life through problem-solving, collaboration, and strategic thinking. As implementation professionals, we blend technical expertise with interpersonal skills, ensuring software delivers genuine value to businesses and communities. If you’re a student looking for a dynamic, rewarding, high-income career that puts you at the intersection of innovation and impact, software implementation is your chance to make technology meaningful and tangible every day. The work demands the ability to navigate complex interactions within complex systems and imagine creative solutions to deliver results for customers and the company.

Role Overview:
We are looking to bring on an Implementation Intern to assist the Unifize Implementation team in the configuration and deployment of our platform to customers. They will assist an Implementation Lead in project management, working closely with the US team to configure, automate, and enhance Unifize products. They will have the opportunity to shadow customer calls, help develop solutions, and deploy changes to customer instances.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Implementation Lead in the implementation and integration. Specifically, the intern will:
    • Assist the Implementation Lead as they manage the roll out of each purchased module, through configuration, preparation, and onboarding
    • Develop process training materials to ensure customers can effectively utilize our products
    • Assist in tweaking or configuring the customer’s account to solve their specific pain points or map to their desired workflow
    • Create and assist in managing automation and PDF tasks using team resources
    • Organize feedback from customers to inform product improvements and ensure ongoing satisfaction

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior in College
  • Enjoys working hard. Really!
  • Organized, with an ability to understand and assist in executing complex plans throughout the implementation cycle life of the client relationship
  • Team-oriented (we before me), collaborative, and comfortable working cross-functionally
  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Committed to getting things done on time (Read “Grit” by Angela Duckworth)
  • Ability to dive into details to solve problems and offer solutions
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Docs and Sheets
  • Software enthusiast. Enjoys using software
  • Puzzle enthusiast. Enjoys solving problems
  • Passion, enthusiasm, humour
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is a plus
  • Technical experience a plus, but not required

Who’s the ideal candidate?

We are looking for someone sharp, quick, and creative. Someone who can follow complex instructions and who can fill in gaps in those instructions intuitively. While experience in technical programs is great, it’s not required for this role— thought technical acumen is. We’ll strongly consider applicants from both computer science and rigorous humanities/social sciences programs.

How will you grow?

You’ll gain exposure to customer management strategies, learn the ins and outs of highly complex regulated industries, and gain insight into the software product development lifecycle. And perhaps most importantly, you’ll gain experience in one of the most crucial (yet hard to fill!) positions on a modern software company’s team.

About Unifize:

At Unifize, we’re building a SaaS platform that revolutionizes process efficiency for product development, quality, and operations teams in ISO and FDA-regulated companies, especially in the medical device, aerospace, automotive, food processing, and engineering industries.

Unifize products (QMS, PLM, etc) are built on a no-code configuration platform that helps customers map their ideal workflows instead of using a one-size-fits-all solution.

By integrating communication, data, documents, and workflows into a single source of truth, we help our customers deliver better products on time, on budget, and with reduced risk.

For additional insights:

  • Case studies and testimonials from customers who talk extensively about their transformational experiences using Unifize.
  • A medical device landing page, which explains how the Unifize platform solves problems for a specific industry sector
  • About us, which includes a questionable piece of amateur dramatics by the founders
