There is a full-time job opportunity with the computer science department for the 2024-2025 academic year (beginning late July/early August). This position is an Educational Associate position open to students graduating this year who are either CS majors or who have had substantial engagement with the department through taking classes and/or working for the department. The Educational Associate will support the department in a variety of ways, with three key areas of responsibility:
- Supporting CS111 and CS200/201, including working on course materials and directly working with students.
- Supporting student course staff, including developing and leading professional development activities for students who work for the department.
- Building community, including helping to foster an inclusive space for students with a wide variety of interests in and experience with CS.
This is a great opportunity to get to work with faculty/staff and students on a much deeper level while getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the department works. Your work in this role has the potential to impact many future generations of Carls.
