EmilyJune Wong (from Carleton College's Career Center) will present on: "Building Your Network for Careers in Tech"
Abstract: LinkedIn research reveals that up to 85% of members land positions through networking. This insight is echoed time and again in stories from our own Carleton alumni. Networking isn't just about getting a job after graduation. It's an essential way to explore different majors, test out research interests, and figure out which path actually fits you best.
Join this interactive workshop to understand the true value of strategic networking and gain practical tools to expand your professional circle. You will identify the 5 core components of a successful outreach message that gets responses. Finally, you will put theory into practice by crafting and asking compelling questions in informational interviews, giving you the clarity and confidence to map out your next steps.
Join us for treats, beverages and community!
