Layla Oesper, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, had a paper titled “Distance Measures for Tumor Evolutionary Trees” accepted at the 2019 RECOMB meeting on Computational Cancer Biology. The paper was co-authored with Zach DiNardo ’21, Kiran Tomlinson ’19 and Anna Ritz ’06. The current students presented the work at the meeting. A poster titled “A Topology-Aware Edit Distance Measure for Cancer Evolutionary Trees” was also accepted at the meeting and was presented by co-author Rosa Zhou ’20.
