SEARCH EXTENDED FOR QUALITY, DIVERSE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION ASSURANCE

The George Washington University (GW) has a few full scholarships,
including a housing allowance and living expenses, to award to students
finishing their bachelor’s degree this year who wish to go to graduate
school and study computer science and information assurance and then work
for the federal government. Our current students are in this program are
enrolled in the departments of computer science, electrical engineering,
business administration, and forensic sciences, but other relevant fields
will be considered. Students must have at least a GPA of 3.20 on a
4-point scale to qualify. The deadline has been extended to insure that a
quality, diverse, cohort is selected to join the 22 men and women pursuing
this opportunity currently at GW.

Complete details are at www.seas.gwu.edu/scholarship and instructions and
application forms are linked to at the end of that web page. We have no
more of the Defense Department scholarships to give out, but we do have
some NSF scholarships remaining. The student must apply to and be
admitted to GW by March 20, 2006, which is the due date for scholarship
applications; since admission processing takes several weeks, students
interested are urged to apply now. Questions should be directed by email
to Prof. Rachelle Heller at sheller@gwu.edu.
