CRA’s Finance practice provides sophisticated financial and economic analysis to law firms and government agencies by offering expert analysis, testimony, and support in litigation and regulatory proceedings. Case matters involve valuation and damages, securities fraud and class action litigation, options, futures, and derivatives analysis, risk management, as well as business strategy. Analysts in CRA’s Finance Practice work closely with the company’s senior staff in a team-oriented environment.

Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing economic and financial data through model building, programming, and regression
  • Conducting industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies;
  • Reviewing and summarizing analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
  • Performing interview-based research through clients, government representatives, and industry associations
  • Assisting in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of our findings
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses
  • Assisting with analyst recruiting efforts

The Finance Practice is seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals with an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or computer science, or who possess a desire to learn economics and finance and a strong research background. Other valuable skills include strong writing ability, research experience, presentation and communication skills, and familiarity with programming and computers. We expect our analysts to learn quickly, apply prior knowledge to current situations, solve problems, manage time, prioritize tasks, and communicate well with peers, senior staff, and clients. SAS programming proficiency is a plus.
