In February or March of 2022, Carleton will compete* in a regional qualifier for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), and we need you to join our team! “The International Collegiate Programming Contest is an algorithmic programming contest for college students. Teams of three, representing their university, work to solve the most real-world problems, fostering collaboration, creativity, innovation, and the ability to perform under pressure. Through training and competition, teams challenge each other to raise the bar on the possible. Quite simply, it is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.” The winning team from the regional contest will progress to the divisional competition and compete for a spot in the national competition. If you think you might be interested in participating, please attend an organizational meeting 12:30-1:00pm, Tuesday, Sept. 28 in Olin 308. If you’re interested, but can’t make that meeting, send Aaron Bauer an email and you’ll be added to the list of people who will get future ICPC emails.
