April 18, 2012 Meeting – Carleton Responsible Investment Committee

Personnel Changes

Mihaela is leaving the committee, and Daniel will be gone next year. We need to find replacement faculty. Joel Weisberg, a former longtime CRIC member, will be coming back to CRIC to fill one of the empty spots.

Visit from Kristen

Kristen Vellinger came to visit her. We gave her a card that Forrest had prepared and we had all signed. We told her about the plans we have been making recently and the personnel issues we have been having. We also briefly discussed the 3M meeting on May 8^th.

Kristen brought up the issue of increased information about Carleton’s holdings for the student body. She told us that last year, some non-CRIC students had started a petition dealing with this issue, but it didn’t get very far. We could reconnect with some of the people who were involved with the petition. Any new information that became available to students could be posted on the CRIC website, with a note saying to contact CRIC with any questions or concerns. That way, people with concerns would come to us instead of harassing the investment committee.

Spreadsheet

Earlier, we agreed to make a spreadsheet to keep track of every proxy resolution CRIC has voted and the results. We discussed the details of this for a while, but not everybody involved was present.
