With the deadline for submitting the final shareholder resolution reports coming up next Wednesday, the majority of today’s meeting was devoted to going over the report drafts. The committee went through each report and discussed what should be added, removed, or altered. Main proposed changes included adding in more statistical evidence, improving citations, adding names of companies that have adopted similar resolutions, and including success rates of the resolution in past years for repeat resolutions. The CRIC plans to continue with all of the proposals except perhaps EcoLab’s Human Right to Water resolution. Some members of the committee will continue to research this proposal and will make a decision by the weekend as to whether it is worth pursuing. Members will continue to work on their drafts, and will send them to Kristen as soon as they finish (by Monday at the latest). Kristen will go through and make sure they are formatted uniformly, and will assemble them in the final report. Along with the individual reports, the committee intends to include a cover letter, a brief list of the resolutions (to serve as a table of contents), and the full texts of the resolutions. Once this final report is submitted, the committee will then focus on preparing for the meeting with the Trustees, which will be from 9:00 to 9:30am on Thursday, February 11. The CRIC may also join the Trustees for breakfast at 8:30. The CRIC will not meet next week, but instead the week after.
