On Thursday, February 11, the CRIC presented its recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The CRIC members arrived at 8:30 to join the Board for breakfast, and the presentation began at 9:00. First, the members of the CRIC introduced themselves to the Board. Kristen then began the presentation with an overview of the presentation, an explanation of the way the resolutions are grouped, an explanation of how the CRIC chose these resolutions to recommend, and background information on the survey and how it supports the CRIC’s choices. After this introduction, she addressed the categories of resolutions: Hydraulic Fracturing, Remediate the Midlands, and Say on Pay. The fourth category, focused on gender identity at Home Depot, was rescinded, so the CRIC no longer needed to present it.
Throughout the presentation, the Trustees asked questions, and several members of the CRIC responded. At the end of the presentation, the Trustees expressed that the CRIC has made a lot of progress, and that they were pleased with the work the CRIC has done. After the CRIC left, the Investment Committee unanimously voted in favor of all of the resolutions the CRIC recommended.
