Commencement Photographs
Because President Clinton will be giving this year’s Commencement address, family members will not be allowed to leave their seats to take photographs during the ceremony. However, we are pleased to inform you that we have arranged for a professional photographer from Chappell Studio to take photographs of each graduate receiving their diploma. Five to seven days after Commencement, you will receive a free passport-sized, full-color proof in the mail. There is no obligation to purchase, and you will have the option of ordering from a variety of enlargement packages at very reasonable prices. Chappell Studio (www.chappell.com) guarantees complete satisfaction with your photograph package or you will receive a full refund, no questions asked. For more information phone 515-472-6892 or e-mail service@chappell.com.

Packaging and Mailing Service
To assist with the volume of items that students have to send home, the College arranges for a shipping service to be on campus at the end of Spring Term. The service has a complete line of packaging materials and supplies for sale, as well as information on how to pack belongings for safe shipping. All packages are sent UPS; loss protection is provided for up to $50,000. All major credit cards (except Diner’s Club) as well as Traveler’s Cheques are accepted for payment.

Located on the lawn between Willis and Scoville Halls, the service will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates: Thursday-Tuesday, June 1-6 and Friday, June 9. On Saturday, June 10, the service will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. If you should have any questions about this service, please call the Office of Campus Activities at 507-646-4462.

Commencement Videotapes
In cooperation with Carleton College, HYERS VIDEO offers a professional multi-camera videotape of Commencement, which includes the entire ceremony, picnic, and a pictorial tour of campus. The video features many close-ups of seated graduates listening to speeches and receiving their diploma, as well as shots of "hugs and goodbyes" shared by graduates, friends, family and faculty during the picnic. (The video will be shorter if Carleton stops or moves the ceremony or picnic due to rain; Hyers Video is not responsible and offers no refunds if this occurs.)

Videos are available in VHS for $34 ($25 for additional copies). PAL/SECAM videos are $60/copy VHS only. Videos will be mailed August 1.

Please watch for a video order form in the mail soon.
