University of Notre Dame

- Key Notes: Most students receive the following for the full two years (four semesters) in the M.A. program: Graduate Assistant–Teaching (GAT) placements, with .25, .33, or .50 full-time equivalency appointments and corresponding stipends. Stipends range from $10,875 to $21,750 per academic year, depending on number of hours worked and year in the program. Full tuition waivers for all GATs in the program. GATs have the option to enroll in the student health insurance plan with the premium fully covered.
University of Iowa

Texas Tech University

The University also offers several competitive scholarships. Deadlines for these opportunities, which include support from the Graduate School, are January 15th. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply before these deadlines. TTU’s financial support packages are sufficient to cover students’ reduced tuition fees, accommodation, and board.
