The CAMS department has for many years hosted a career-oriented speaker series with filmmakers and alums known as the CAMS Orange Couch Conversations, named after the (rather hideous) vinyl neon orange couch in our Advanced Production Lab. Taking inspiration from this series, CAMS alum Diana Fraser and four current majors–Jhernie Evangelista, Lily Eisenthal, Angely Guevara and Vincent DeZutti–have launched the Virtual Orange Couch Conversations, allowing students to interact with alums and other professionals from afar, via Skype. The student group kicked off the program in early January with editor Hannah White, followed by Academy Award-winning producer Barrie Osborne and entertainment industry technology distributor Doug Woodard. Filmmaker Max Silver, a CAMS alum, is next on deck (see below). Stay tuned for an exciting lineup of spring term speakers.
