Sixteen senior CAMS majors enrolled in Comps 2018 (winter term) gave public presentations of their work at CAMS Comps Symposium on Saturday, April 14, 2018: Terry Taylor, Michael Vue, Eddy Zaragoza, Claire Tan, Rachel Everett, Paul Kirk-Davidoff, Lucy Stevens, Carly Dunn, Kayla Rudess, Alyk Kenlan, Jonthan Chow, Alex Walker, Scott Bown, Alexa Feeney, Theo Morris and Peycen Ouyang.

Twelve senior CAMS majors enrolled in comps 2017 (winter term) gave public presentations of their work at CAMS Comps Symposium on Saturday, April 15, 2017: Alex Berlin, Will Thorpe, Ali Reilly, Suhail Thandi, Zizi Li, Ayana Lance, Brian Gordon, Camille Sanchez, Tumi Akin-Deko, Ibad Jafri, Joshu Creel, and Ian MacEneany.

CAMS major Zizi Li ’17 has been invited to present her CAMS comps research paper, “Theorizing Instagram: Ontology, Epistemology, Aesthetics,” at the Cinema & Media Studies Undergraduate Conference at the University of Minnesota, April 21-22, 2017.

CAMS major Ed Hendrickson ’17 has been invited to present his CAMS comps research paper, “Turning a Colorblind Eye: The French New Wave’s Representation of Africa and the Post-Colonial Reply,” at the Cinema & Media Studies Undergraduate Conference at the University of Minnesota in April.

CAMS seniors are busy developing their proposals for their winter term comps projects. CAMS majors enroll in CAMS 400 Integrative Exercise (informally known as “comps”) during the fall or winter term of their senior year. Majors enrolled for fall term comps are already well into the process of researching, writing, and/or producing their papers, scripts, or films.

CAMS major Lily Eisenthal ’16 will present her senior comps paper at the fourth annual Society for Cinema and Media Studies Undergraduate Conference at the University of Colorado-Boulder, April 14-17, 2016.

CAMS Major Grace Davis ’16 will present her senior comps paper at the 42nd National Undergraduate Honors Conference at DePauw University, April 7-9, 2016. 

CAMS majors Veronica Garcia ’16 and Jonah Castañeda Barry ’16 will present their senior comps films at the 1st Annual Associated Colleges of the Midwest Student Film Conference and Festival at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin on April 1-3, 2016.

Congratulations to the fifteen senior CAMS majors who presented their comps projects and papers at CAMS Comps Symposium recently.

During his senior year at Carleton, CAMS alum Chris Baur produced a sound studies-oriented comps project, Arb Sonics.
