John Schott, James Woodward Strong Professor of the Liberal Arts-Emeritus, along with Phil Smith, has published Rethinking Mythogeography in Northfield, Minnesota. The book comes out of their collaboration during the WALK! Festival at Carleton during the spring of 2016 where artist-in-residence Phil Smith applied his concept of mythogeography — walking with heightened awareness — to a site-based study of Northfield. The results are presented in this volume with John Schott’s photographs documenting Smith’s philosophy of space and mapping. The book is available through Triarchy Press in the UK.
