CAMS Major Jack Turzillo ’16 Has Film Accepted to Visions Film Festival

CAMS major Jack Turzillo ’16 has received word that his short film “Joy” has been accepted to the 6th Annual Visions Film Festival and Conference at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington on April 14-15, 2016.  The film is in the running for the Visionary Film Award. Organizers anticipate an audience of over three hundred at the festival, along with the eighteen guest filmmakers and scholars invited to present their work. “Joy” was Jack’s capstone project while studying abroad at FAMU, the film school in Prague, Czech Republic.  He co-wrote and co-edited the film in addition to serving as the director of photography, shooting the film on Super 16mm.  Joy is a dark comedy about two girls who must save a birthday party after finding their friend’s dead body in the bathtub.
