Sarah Abdel-Jelil ’16 and Gisell Calderon ’16 were awarded a 2019 Artist Residency at Caldera (Sisters, OR) to refine their work on dance time-lapse filmmaking.

This summer, CAMS major Frank Zhang ’20, interned as a production assistant for a Chinese TV show, 江山纪Jiangshanji, at Hengdian World Studios in Hengdian, China, the largest film studio in the world.

Professor John Schott recently spent two weeks in and around Devon, England, taking photographs for a new book, to be produced in collaboration with Professor Phil Smith from the University of Plymouth, UK.

Over the weekend of April 20-22, 2018, nine current and prior CAMS majors participated in the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Film Conference and Festival, and seniors Peycen Ouyang and Paul Kirk-Davidoff returned with awards for their individual works.

Carleton CAMS grad Aaron Sala ’16 sells his first feature screenplay, The Beast, to H Collective

Brian Gordon ’17 will attend the MFA program in Experimental Animation at CalArts in the fall of 2018.

Sam Frederich ’16 has just finished directing and animating a web pilot called “Song in the Sky.”

CAMS graduate Max Silver ’11 has produced the feature film, Silicon Beach, which will show at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival on Friday, April 20^th.
