If you have been hanging around the Mohrig Lounge (2nd floor Anderson) during the past few days, you may have noticed a new face occupying one of the offices. I am very happy to let you all know that Carrie Flesch has just joined our department this week as our new Laboratory Manager and Instrument Technician! Carrie will be working closely with Julie Karg to support our teaching laboratories, and she will also be the point person for many instrumentation and safety issues in the department.
Carrie earned her BS in Chemistry with a focus on polymers from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and, in addition to several jobs in industrial settings, she comes to us most recently from Inver Hills Community College, where she managed chemistry laboratories and instruments for 14 years.
Carrie is excited to get to know and work with Carleton students, and I hope you will get a chance to meet her at a Periodic Table soon or just pop your head into Anderson 242.
