I am proud to share an opportunity that I am confident will interest you and your students! Outreach360 has been empowering children in underserved areas of Latin America for over 25 years through education and opportunity.
As the world pivots to rely even more on technology, so has Outreach360. We are now offering virtual programs that connect service-minded college students with our students.
This Fall, we are launching two 12-week internships that will take place every Saturday from September 12th to November 28th for just two hours each week. Our Spanish Internship is a two-way language learning opportunity; interns will participate in small-group guided conversations in both English and Spanish. The English conversations will be an opportunity for your students to share topics relating to their area of study. In turn, our students will lead the Spanish conversations by sharing about their country’s culture and customs.
Our Teaching Internship is very similar with the exception that all conversations will be held in English. The learning portion of this ‘service-learning’ internship for our interns will be dedicated to growing as stronger teachers through an additional hour each week of independent study. We will provide a professional online curriculum of modules for your students to choose from.
Nearly 25,000 volunteers have participated in our programs since 1994, many on the Health & Science track:
“This internship has been full of fun experiences as we began talking about science, scientists, and everything that is studied in the universe! I was AMAZED by the responses I got from students and their general interest in science. My classes talked about astronomy, marine biology, geology, chemistry, and more. “
Brandon Roy, Cornell University
