Undergrad 2022 Summer Research opportunity at University of Kansas

10 January 2022

The KU Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has had an active summer undergraduate research program for more than 45 years.  This 10-week program has been a valuable experience for undergraduate students who are considering a research career in chemical, biological or pharmaceutical sciences.  Many graduates of the program have gone on to pursue graduate degrees and now have a fulfilling research career.

Students who might be interested in a summer of full-time research are encouraged to apply. Students should preferably be juniors, although we will consider applications from outstanding sophomores if they will have completed organic chemistry prior to the start of the summer research program.  Competitive stipends will be offered plus room and board.

Students should apply online at our website www.pharmchem.ku.edu. If you need more information, please email Nicole Brooks at nbrooks@ku.edu. We strongly encourage applications from minorities and women.

We anticipate funding to support 4 to 8 students for the summer of 2022.  The 10-week program starts on Monday, May 23 and runs through Friday, July 29.   However, please be advised that, the operation of the program is contingent on administration approval and subject to possible constraints relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
