Summer REU Program in Sustainable Materials at UC Santa Cruz – Application deadline February 2

UC Santa Cruz is now accepting applications for our REU Program on Sustainable Materials, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

This 8-week summer program provides students with hands-on research experience, working alongside UCSC faculty on cutting-edge projects in materials science with a focus on sustainability. Participants will:

  • Conduct research on topics like renewable energy materials, biodegradable polymers, and green manufacturing techniques.
  • Receive travel support and on-campus housing.
  • Benefit from professional development workshops, networking, and career preparation.

This program is open to undergraduate students in STEM disciplines who are interested in pursuing research or graduate studies in materials science.
